Dr. Vaughan is the Chairman of the Department of Medicine and the Irving S. Cutter Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Physician in Chief of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His lab has been at the forefront of basic and preclinical investigations that have helped define the molecular physiology of PAI-1 and its role in arteriosclerosis, metabolism, senescence, and aging. Dr. Vaughan is also the Founding Director of the Potocsnak Longevity Institute at Northwestern, a multidisciplinary institute looking to expand human healthspan.
